Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
A position has arisen within Production Engineering Department for an Electrical Production Engineer.

Job Description:
- Technical support all production departments on electrical systems.
- Provide technical support quickly to resolving machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
- Electrically Test & validate of new machine options including functional checking.
- Preparing modification requests for the design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
- Preparation of electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
- Preparing modification requests for the design changes.
- Test & evaluate of new machines including functional checking.
- The specification, design & commissioning of test rigs.
- Identifying risks and implementing safety improvements
- Technical support to the Service & QA departments.
Essential Criteria:
- Apprentice Trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification – 18th Edition – HNC (Electrical Engineering).
- Industrial Electrical Experience.
- IT Literate in all Microsoft office Packages.
- Self-motivation & good time management.
- Good communication skills.
- A sound grasp of electrical engineering principles.
- Working well with people of all abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
- An understanding of PLC’s.
- Knowledge of inverter drive systems.
- Ability to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings & ladder diagrams.
- Fault finding skills using electrical diagnostics I/O & PLC.
- Risk assessment & an appreciation of health & safety requirements.
- Defining & documenting assembly procedures.
- Project planning & project management.
- Knowledge of electrical inspection & test methods.
- Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems to aid with fault finding.
- An ability to make process & productivity improvements.
- The ability to operate CNC machinery.

- Hours for the role are 08:15am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
