Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

The Role

The purpose and remit of the CNC Laser Breakdown Engineer is to provide customers with cutting solutions and utilising the extensive Mazak Laser product range.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Service, Install and the repair of CNC Laser machines and automated systems.
• Work to schedules to ensure that customer demands are met.
• Machine demonstration and training.
• On site customer support.
• Provide customers with first class service.
• Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.

The Candidate:

The position is Worcester based, although a degree of UK / European travel will be required.

The experience and qualifications required include:

• Knowledge of CNC Laser Machines including servicing and repairing.
• Knowledge of cutting conditions in various material types & thicknesses.
• Knowledge of Laser technology and Laser CAD/CAM systems.
• Clear communication skills at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving ability, together with a flexible approach to a varied workload in a challenging environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, but to very high standards.
• Mechanical / electrical experienced.

– Working Days, 8.15am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
– Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
