On behalf of our client who is situated in the heart of Worcestershire, providing Engineering assistances and solutions to many exciting sectors.

– Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for an Assembly Operative.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MAG (135) welding on Carbon Steel and Armoured Fabrications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welds accurately
  • To set-up and operate TIG welding equipment safely, to ensure optimum performance
  • Conduct Visual Testing of Fusion Welding Joints in accordance with BS EN ISO 17673:2016
  • Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines
  • Continue ongoing internal and external training to welding certification requirements BS EN ISO 9606-1
  • Ensure working environment is clean, organised and meets safety and company standards

Qualifications

  • Experience in Defence, Aerospace, motorsport or similar industries is advantageous
  • derstanding of BS EN ISO 3834-2, BS EN (phone number removed) and DIN 2303 Q2 welding quality requirements
  • Previously certified coding’s to ISO 9606-1 or equivalent standards (ASME IX, AWS D17.1)
  • NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in welding & fabrication or relevant engineering subject
  • CSWIP 3.0 or PCN (VT) Lvl I

Experience

  • Time served with previous experience of MAG (135) welding aluminium and or stainless/Steel alloys is essential.
  • Knowledge of BS EN ISO 9606-1 welder qualifications
  • Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Experience working to high tolerance
  • Good organizational skills

Package:

  • Monday – Friday (subject to change depending on business requirements)
  • Core Hours 07:45 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday and 07:45 – 13:00 on a Friday.
  • 39 hours of work per week. You may be expected to work any additional hours depending on business requirements.
