Mazak Banding and Skills Matrix

Mazak have now announced their 2025/2026 salary bandings which have increased by 2% from the previous year which is positive news.

For those of you who have recently joined or are unfamiliar with the bandings, the Skills Matrix encapsulates the majority of roles across Production, HQ and Sales divisions.

Job roles have been created which fit into job families, with each role being defined and falling into a skill and pay band; some roles may cover more than one band. The aim of this was to ensure that there is an open and transparent structure for colleagues within the Company, and to offer a structure for new employees.

Furthermore, it allows for colleagues in different parts of the organisation to have their skills recognised and to apply an equitable pay structure across the board. It is important to reiterate that, in some instances, a move into a higher band or role can only take place if that role is vacant. For instance, if you were in a Project Engineer role, you could only move into the role of Senior Project Engineer if the business needs determine that there is an additional requirement for that role. However, developing the skills for a higher band or role could be encouraged in order to put yourself in the best possible position should a role become available.

365 Resourcing use the Mazak Skills Matrix with the intention that all new starters will be placed at the bottom of their pay band. This will be available to view within your department as required.
